GUIDED FISHING TRIPS
Our Orvis endorsed guides are the best in the area. They will provide you with an exciting fly-fishing or light spin tackle opportunity in many local waters. Included in the rates are the use of Orvis fly fishing equipment or high quality, light spinning tackle.
Most of the season you'll be fishing for striped bass (stripers)
and bluefish. But, as the season progresses, you may have
some opportunities at false albacore (albies) or even bonita.
Whether you would like to fish from the National Seashore, on the flats of Monomoy, or
in Provincetown, we have wade guides who can help you find the right fish on the right tides.
Our wade guides are profiled below.
If you prefer fishing from a boat, we have boat captains/guides who can take you out of Chatham, Harwich, and many other locales. They typically provide a flats fishing boat for one or two anglers. It is capable of navigating the shallow Monomoy and South Beach flats but durable enough to bring you to a bit deeper waters if this is where the fish are on any given day. A few larger boats are also available if you need to put a group of 4, 5, or 6 together for a specific trip.
Our 2006 Wade Guides:
Steve Kean

Steve will take you along the National Seashore or to a myriad of
other great Outer Cape locations for a terrific light tackle
or fly fishing trip. A North Truro resident, Steve, has
been fishing these waters for 20 years. He is available
for trips most parts of the day. But, he specializes
in night fishing for the big ones.
Bob Mahoney

Bob is an experienced guide for both the Outer
Cape and the Lower Cape's fantastic Chatham-Monomoy sight fishing
flats. His expertise includes both fly fishing and surf
casting. He is a top instructor at Orvis' Saltwater Fly Fishing
school in Chatham. So, in addition to finding fish for
you, he can help with some pointers on your cast.
George Ryan

Shown here preparing to release a fish from a boat, George
is really out of his element. He has spent decades wade
guiding folks on the beautiful Monomoy flats during the sight
fishing season. But, he is just as comfortable moving from the
Cape Cod Canal to Provincetown as the fish move throughout the
Cape each season. His wade guding exploits have been chronicled
by many excellent fly fishing magazines. However, he is
just as much at home with light tackle spin fishermen.
